Trained therapists to become yoga teachers over an eight month period, worked with the girls to develop healthy lifestyle choices through a regular yoga practice.

YOGA THERAPY
Created Yoga Therapy Program, Courtside Club 2006 – 2007
Individually tailored programs for a variety of physical issues alleviated through yoga. Experience has included alleviation of back pain, recovery to shoulder girdle after coma, breast cancer survivors, sleep disorders, recovery from sexual addiction, stage four breast cancers to simple postural correction and individually tailored programs to increase flexibility, strength and balance.

Mythology
A cross-cultural and historical survey of some of the world’s myths, employing the perspectives of psychology, anthropology, and literary analysis to provide a greater understanding of the ways in which the themes and patterns of myth, folklore, epics and legends provide insights into individual human experience, as well as shapes national, regional and ethnic identities. Visual art, music and modern cinema will help us explore the levels in which ancient myths play a role in 21st century American society and appreciate the way that mythology interacts with artistic production.
Storytelling
This course teaches the art of storytelling and improvisational acting. Students become involved in individual story development and performance, both individually and in teams. Topics include the purpose of stories, traditional story structure, archetypes of character, character development fundamentals of visual storytelling and recurring themes in popular media. Students strengthen their oral and writing skills as well as gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the diverse world they live in.
Creativity and Content Development
Students study the role of creativity in being an artist and making art. Students expand their awareness of being artists by experiencing, practicing and understanding their relationship to themselves, others and the world. The class addresses personal creativity, its antecedents in history particularly history of visual communication and its expression in verbal and visual forms.
Special Topics in Multicultural Studies
Students participate in a research project that utilizes digital technology to document holidays from around the world. Often working in teams, students are required to research, document, create artwork, tell their own stories, interview people from other cultural backgrounds, and disseminate their information in a media specific to the assigned technology so their work is made available to others over the Internet.
Story boarding
Teaches principles of storyboarding and visual storytelling in film, animation, computer and video production. Topics include basic camera shots, traditional story structure, fundamentals of visual storytelling, storytelling techniques, character development, rendering techniques and storyboard presentation.
Graphic Design
Introduced theories and applications of two-dimensional design including Adobe Photoshop as one of the design tools. Students developed an understanding of how design works and how we perceive visual languages, knowledge of the principles and elements of design, materials use and quality of creation, and understanding of the applications of design in a variety of media.
Mixed Media
This course utilizes traditional media: drawing, painting, collage, poetry, etc. and translates the image via the computer. Output technique is a key component: either getting the work to print or creating a digital environment for the work to be viewed. Output could consist of paper, canvas, printmaking papers, or other large format work. It could also consist of the creation of an environment using printed or projected images. A performance environment/venue is determined, designed and created by the class for the final presentation of the work.

This position worked closely with each member of the web development team to ensure the creation of highly functional information architecture, global branding and a site-wide design consistent with the vision of WholePeople.com. The position included design concept and management of implementation, consistency of branding, graphics acquisition for the entire site, and collaboration with the content editor. Wholepeople.com was sold to Gaiam.com.
