Schedule:

Integrating the ancient tradition of yoga with a contemporary understanding of human wellness, this program provides a strong foundation in the art and science of yoga. We will be taking classes in a wide range of styles of asana, all of which when done well, lead to sustained well being and joy. We will discuss principles of alignment; learn how to sequence, read bodies, and do safe and effective adjustments. You will be given a thorough knowledge of the human body through both western anatomy and subtle anatomy. You will be finding or refining your own unique voice and radically enhancing the passion for your practice in the company of others who share in the same passion, and in the words of Joseph Campbell, ‘following your bliss.’ We will be looking at how to bring our yoga practice of the mat and into every aspect of our lives. The hours we spend together lead you to RYT 200 Yoga Alliance Certification.

"I have been studying yoga since 1983, and I have never before received such a thorough education. It's brilliant how Jennifer uses her experience as an artist and a professor, as well as a serious student of yoga, to present such a vast system of knowledge in such a short time. I loved how she exposed us to ALL the branches of yoga, definitely expanding my range from just the asanas to meditation, practices of behavior (yamas and niyamas), history, chanting, and even Ayurveda. Bringing in various teachers specializing in different styles of yoga, she encouraged us to find our own style of teaching. Rather than emulating her yoga or teaching style, we developed those that work for our own bodies, our own lives, from our own hearts and life philosophies, while studying that which came before us."
